Bless was Founded in the year 1989 in Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu, South India, by Mr. LS Anthony Samy who has built up his experience in village development for more than seven years by working as a volunteer in VRO (Village Reconstruction Organisation) under the guidance of late Fr. Windy SJ, a Belgian Priest, a pioneer in the Development sector who established VRO in Andhra Pradesh.
Bless is a non-profitable voluntary organization registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Act 1975, with register number 35/89. It's entitled to receive foreign contributions for its programs/activities. Cuddalore is a disaster-prone area often affected by floods, cyclones, tsunamis, etc. Bless responded in a big way to bring back the community to normal. Bless core competency area is Wash (Water and Sanitation Hygiene) and Disaster Risk reductions.
