The families that we work with mostly depend upon agriculture. They hardly own any piece of farm land so they are left to the mercy of farm owners. Climate change has affected agriculture very badly. The farm laborers are compelled to migrate to cities in search of jobs which affect children and family members. However, a cow can sustain a poor family and help the family members to have 3 meals a day. So Bless decided to provide a cow along with a calf and cowshed for 200 poor women from Cuddalore district to help them become financially strong enough to feed their family. Once the women are helped, they will be formed into a milk co-operatives. One cow with a calf – Rs. 35,000 Cowshed – Rs. 5,000 Cost per family – Rs. 40,000
